I defy anyone who has ever been a parent to claim they have never been "pi**ed off" at some point. So you can see why I was attracted to the book.
The author, Mink Elliot actually lives in Sydney but the book is set in England.
The main character, Roxy is a first time Mum who has moved with her partner and ten-month-old daughter from London to a small village. She is struggling with parenthood. After rejecting the usual mother and parent groups she sets up her own.
They meet Wednesday nights at their local, The Swan and they are a diverse and interesting group. There is plot (a flood - very current) and character development and it is an entertaining light read.
