Juno was a highly successful film from 2007 about a teenage girl's pregnancy. Part of the film's success lies in the great soundtrack that accompanies it. The album can best be described as alternative rock with artists such as Kimya Dawson, The Mouldy Peaches and Antsy Pantsy. Many of the artists can't sing and can play very basic chords however this reflects the movie's laid back and realistic mood. The songs are even quite catchy and easy to sing along to. Kimya Dawson creates some great rhythm and the lyrics of her songs are at times hilarious and at times so close to the truth. Overall, the album expresses teenage angst really well and is great to listen to on a Sunday afternoon drive. Look out for the duet of Michael Cera and Ellen Page that features at the end of the movie.
