Jessica Rudd (daughter of Kevin Rudd and Therese Rein) was advised to "write what you know". Jessica went one better and predicted what we would all know soon enough. Just as her book was published her father was replaced as leader of his party by a woman.
Jessica's commercial women's fiction book gives us some insight into the roller coaster that an Australian election campaign can be. Talk about policy being created on the run.
I enjoyed the book - the extra frisson caused by real life events mirroring the imagined added to the experience.
